Persona 4 Revival will remove the high-difficulty Rise voice line trophy from the original version and readjust the overall trophy design. Producer Kazuhisa Wada and Director Daisuke Yajima confirmed these changes in a joint interview on September 20.
This trophy originates from Persona 4 Golden, requiring players to listen to 250 of Rise Kujikawa's navigation voice lines to unlock. It has long been known for its high difficulty, with only 5.4% of Steam players having achieved it as of the time of the interview.
Daisuke Yajima stated that the development team not only removed this trophy but also reevaluated the entire trophy design. The game will feature corresponding trophies for new content, while adjusting some overly difficult ones. Rise Kujikawa's navigation voice lines have been completely re-recorded, with new voice lines and navigation content added, making the overall experience richer.
Regarding the Yosuke Hanamura romance route requested by some players, Kazuhisa Wada clearly stated that there are currently no plans to add it. He explained that if such a route were added for Yosuke, the team would also need to consider offering similar options for male characters like Tohru Adachi and the male community, which could eventually evolve into a massive system, potentially turning the work into an entirely different game.
This title will further expand nighttime activities from Persona 4 Golden. More companions and Social Link characters will appear at night, allowing players to earn Social Link points more easily through nighttime interactions, with comprehensive improvements made to the conditions required for Social Link growth.
The interview also covered the meaning behind the name "Revival," the reason for removing the umbrella-cycling scene, the addition of songs performed by Shihoko Hirata, and Personas from later titles. Persona 4 Revival is scheduled to launch on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC on February 18, 2027, with the PC version available via Microsoft Store and Steam.
