Tests of Resident Evil 4 Remake on the iPhone 18 Pro show that the game mostly maintains 60 FPS, with performance improved by nearly 50% compared to the iPhone 17 Pro. The test used a resolution of 2346×1080 and a mix of medium and low graphics settings.
Apple began bringing major games to its phones starting with the iPhone 15 Pro, though performance at the time was unremarkable. The iPhone 17 Pro later made significant strides in gaming performance, and the A20 Pro chip in the iPhone 18 Pro brings further improvements.
The above data for Resident Evil 4 Remake comes from Dame Tech's tests. The near-stable 60 FPS was measured at the specified resolution and graphics settings, representing nearly a 50% improvement compared to the previous-generation iPhone 17 Pro.
The tests also included Assassin's Creed Mirage. When running this title at 1320p resolution and high graphics settings, the iPhone 18 Pro maintained a stable 30 FPS. Since the game is locked at 30 FPS on iPhone, this test could not measure higher frame rates.
