Bandai Namco has officially confirmed that online services for "SYNDUALITY: Song of Ada" will end in May 2027, with the development team shifting focus to creating an offline version of the game. After the online services shut down, players who have purchased the game can continue playing via the offline version, though some features requiring an internet connection will be unavailable.
The current online PvPvE mode will remain fully playable until service termination, after which the game will transition into an offline PvE extraction shooter. Bandai Namco has also confirmed that certain save data and purchased items from the online version can be carried over to the offline version.
Content updates and events for the existing online version will continue until all scheduled content through October 2026 is released. Afterwards, sales of SYN Coins and other paid currencies will cease at 0:00 JST on December 18, 2026. Players who have purchased paid currencies can continue using them until the online service terminates, but these currencies are valid for 150 days from the first game launch after purchase.
The data transfer feature for the offline version is scheduled to launch in December 2026, allowing players to migrate their game progress in advance for a smooth transition. Bandai Namco plans to announce the specific shutdown date for online services in March 2027, with the switch to the offline version expected to begin after May 2027.
The publisher has not yet announced the specific timeline for switching to the offline version, nor the detailed scope of inheritable data and purchased items. Further details will be revealed as development progresses.
Online gameplay features will remain fully operational until the official service shutdown. The development and operations teams thank players for their support of "SYNDUALITY: Song of Ada" and confirm that future efforts will focus on releasing the offline version of the game.
