Star Fox Remastered, developed by Chuhai Labs and Balor Games, launched on the original Nintendo Switch on October 28 for $14.99. This on-rails space shooter draws inspiration from Star Fox 64 and aerial combat shooters from the N64 and PS1 era.
The game was previously released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox in August 2026. Players control Bowie Stray and his "Blue Bombers" squad, battling hordes of enemies and massive bosses across oceans, desert ridges, and caves.
The core gameplay of Star Fox Remastered includes retro arcade-style aerial combat, on-rails shooting, branching mission paths, and high-score challenges. Player feedback on Steam has been mixed: some appreciate the Star Fox-like experience at a lower price, while others feel the final product is still rough and not yet recommendable.
The game's digital soundtrack DLC is also available on Steam for $4.99, featuring tracks composed by Marc Junker. A special physical vinyl edition is available for pre-order at The Yetee for $35, including 20 original songs and 5 bonus tracks.
