Kakao Games and Ocean Drive Studio have announced that the second Beta test for God Save Birmingham will take place on Steam from 7:00 AM on November 3rd to November 10th. Players can participate by requesting access on the store page. The test is not under NDA, allowing for live streaming and public sharing of videos and screenshots.
This is a medieval zombie survival game set in 14th-century Birmingham, England, devastated by a zombie horde. Players need to find food, water, and places to sleep, explore ruins, and craft tools and weapons. They can also use physics-based interactions to move furniture to block doors or use everyday objects as weapons.
Following the first beta test in June, which attracted over 67,000 participants, Beta 2 will introduce four-player co-op for the first time. Players can gather resources and defend strongholds together, but the multiplayer features are still in Alpha stage, and the official notice warns that issues may arise during testing.
The new version will also add appearance customization, save files, key configuration, an improved inventory, as well as new weapons, clothing, recipes, and crafted items. Different zombies have their own aggression levels and behaviors, with some individuals able to cross low obstacles or open windows. The development team currently plans to launch Early Access in the first half of 2027.

Realistic Physics Engine
Most items in the game can be moved to increase your chances of survival. A dining table can be used to barricade the main door; wine barrels can be thrown at zombies, treating them like bowling pins; starting a fire indoors can help you sleep soundly through the night.
Of course, you are also bound by the laws of nature. If you accidentally fall, your weapon might get damaged. Falling from a height could break your leg.
Hardcore Survival Game
Chaos reigns in the town, making survival a major challenge. You must not only seek food, obtain clean water, stay warm, and find shelter, but also maintain your health while fending off wave after wave of zombie attacks.
But eating and drinking enough is far from sufficient. You also need to pay attention to your mental health; falling into despair or going mad means game over. Continuous practice will improve various survival skill levels, including mastery of different weapons.

With no one in charge, the real estate market has become... completely free. Pick a suitable shelter, secure the doors and windows, and turn it into your cozy home. Using the right tools and resources, you can craft weapons, furniture, door bolts, barriers, campfires, and other household items, turning any building into your home.

Tired of playing alone? Go online and team up with friends in co-op mode to face the zombie threat together. Scavenge for resources, craft items, and after a long day, sit by the campfire, sipping porridge and chatting away. During Early Access, players can join the same game in multiplayer mode, teaming up to survive in a sandbox environment.
