Red Desert has received the 01.000.679 update, although the official patch notes detailing the changes have not yet been released. Currently, the developers have published a list of known issues covering anomalies in quests, NPC interactions, rewards, gameplay, and more.
Reported issues include progress being stuck in Damian's exclusive quests and Graymane faction quests, livestock disappearing from ranches, missing underwater sound effects, and inability to claim Twitch drop rewards. Additionally, there are platform-specific anomalies on Xbox, Mac, and PlayStation, as well as graphical issues when FSR4 upscaling is enabled.

Quest and Progression Issues
- If the main quest "The End of the Journey" is completed within a specific timeframe, Damian's exclusive quest "End and Beginning" cannot be progressed further.
- When controlling Damian or Unka, progress on the Graymane faction quests cannot be advanced.
- NPCs required for quests cannot ride Legendary Divine Beasts.
- The Camel Constellation and a sealed fortress are located in inaccessible areas.
NPC, Interaction, and Gameplay Issues
- Livestock registered at the ranch may disappear.
- In specific situations, interactions with NPCs, mounts, and certain items may fail. Restarting the game can temporarily resolve this issue.
- Fish caught in certain areas cannot be moved.
- Some sound effects are missing in underwater environments, including character movement sounds.
UI and Reward Issues
- Some UI elements in the Gifting feature are displayed only in Korean. This issue is expected to be fixed in the next patch.
- Twitch drop rewards cannot currently be claimed via the "Drops & Rewards" menu. Until the issue is resolved, players can claim rewards by clicking the link in the live stream chat, then linking their Twitch account on the Drops campaign page.
- If the dodge action is set to "Hold" mode, changing the dodge key will not disable the original default dodge key.
Stability and Graphics Issues
- Mismatched versions between the base game and DLC may cause crashes. Players must update both to the latest version to start the game normally.
- When FSR4 upscaling is enabled, rain effects may disappear, or the screen may become blurry or distorted during rainy weather.
Platform-Specific Issues
- Xbox: Some items (including drop rewards and pre-order bonuses) may not appear in the Add-ons menu and cannot be claimed.
- Mac: When using mouse and keyboard at certain resolutions, the cursor position may not match the actual placement point for furniture.
- Mac: The colorblind filter will not apply to the UI when Colorblind Mode is enabled.
- PlayStation: When using the virtual keyboard to name pets or horses, typing too quickly may cause the screen to freeze. It is recommended to type slowly, pausing briefly after each input.
Red Desert will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on March 19, 2026.
