Battlestate Games Head Asks Players If They Want a Standalone Escape from Tarkov Co-op Zombie Game

Nikita Buyanov of Battlestate Games recently asked players on social media whether they would like a standalone zombie-themed co-op game set in the Escape from Tarkov universe. Meanwhile, the game is currently hosting a popular and atmospheric Halloween event across all platforms, pitting players against hordes of bloodthirsty undead.

If you jump into Escape from Tarkov right now, you can head to The Lab and Factory to face endless waves of zombies, progressing through a despairing narrative that unravels the mystery behind the event. But Nikita wanted to know if players would like to see similar content become permanent, and fans responded with a resounding yes.

Battlestate负责人询问玩家是否想要《逃离塔科夫》独立合作丧尸游戏

Nikita Buyanov posed a simple question on social media:

"Standalone Escape from Tarkov zombie co-op game: yes or no?"

The recent event in Escape from Tarkov has been warmly received by fans, who are eager for more. The event features a long and rewarding questline, high-risk adventures across zombie-infested maps, and exclusive achievements that can be unlocked right now.

Zombie events have become a staple in Escape from Tarkov's event calendar, with Battlestate Games managing to outdo the previous year's content annually. But launching a permanent zombie-themed adventure is an entirely different matter.

When Nikita asked his 250,000 followers whether they would like to see this type of content become permanent, the response was overwhelmingly positive. The vast majority of comments suggested it would be a welcome addition to the Tarkov ecosystem, though some pointed out that the team is already stretched thin.

Currently, Battlestate Games is simultaneously developing the core PvPvE platform, PvE mode, PvP "seasons" content, and Escape from Tarkov: Arena. Additionally, several DLCs are on the horizon, including Guncyclopedia content, as well as another potential standalone title that has only been the subject of sparse rumors so far.

I'd love to experience a co-op, i.e., PvE, Tarkov zombie game, but does it have enough substantial content to justify being made into a standalone title?
