Details regarding the physical release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remastered for Switch 2 have recently been supplemented. Images posted by the social media account Zelda Updates on October 31 show that the game's physical cartridge may feature the common red design of Switch 2, rather than the gold appearance some players had hoped for.
The gold cartridge has drawn attention due to the visual impression left by previous physical releases in The Legend of Zelda series. However, the final product shown adopts the unified red design standard for the console platform. The information revealed here mainly concerns the physical edition's packaging contents and does not indicate any changes to gameplay or version specifications.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remastered will be released on November 5, 2026, during the 40th anniversary phase of The Legend of Zelda series. A themed console and Pro Controller are scheduled for release on October 29, while two new amiibo figures are set to launch in 2027.
