Bandai Namco has rescheduled the ACE COMBAT 8: Skies Unknown Ver.1.01.002 update and "ACE COMBAT ONLINE" server maintenance. The patch will go live around 15:00 on November 2, 2026, with online mode scheduled for maintenance from 15:00 to 17:00 on the same day. The end time may be adjusted depending on the progress of the work.
This update was originally scheduled for October 23. The developers previously stated that the update needed to be postponed due to a system-related incident affecting the entire industry, though they did not disclose the specific name of the incident. Players who remain in-game when maintenance begins may lose progress on ongoing data, so it is recommended to set aside time to finish playing beforehand.
Regarding mission balance, the difficulty of "Ladon" in Campaign Mission 15 will be adjusted for "ELITE" difficulty and above; Mission 28 will see adjustments to the maximum number of countermeasures deployed by "Shadow Squadron 22."
The patch will also fix several issues that could interrupt gameplay, including mission failure in Mission 6 if the wingman uses MPBM during transport plane takeoff, inability to proceed after landing on the aircraft carrier in Mission 10, potential crashes when "Podarge" detonates prematurely in Mission 11, and progression blocks in Mission 30 caused by the indestructible target "HULL." ACE COMBAT 8: Skies Unknown is now available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
