Data compiled by KoreaXBOXnews shows that 210 games launched on the Xbox platform in October 2026, setting a new monthly record for the year. Of these, 95 supported Xbox Play Anywhere, accounting for approximately 45%. This data was compiled by users and is not an official statistic from Microsoft.
Following the release of 187 Xbox games in September, the number increased further in October. The lineup included titles such as Gears of War: E-Day, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, with numerous new releases vying for players' attention and spending.
Xbox Play Anywhere allows players to purchase a game once and play it on Xbox consoles, Windows PCs, and other devices within the Xbox ecosystem, with progress carrying over between devices. According to the analyst, the proportion of new Xbox releases supporting this feature has remained around 50% since June 2026.
This calculation excludes "triple-stacking" games that set up multiple achievement lists by releasing separate versions for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. If these titles were included, the proportion of new releases supporting Xbox Play Anywhere could exceed 50% and approach 70%.
