Sonic Racing: Crossworlds Version 2.0.0 Launches Year 2 Content and Adds Duel Mode!

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds version 2.0.0 launches its Year 2 content on November 3, 2026, headlined by the new Duel Mode. Players can race against a single opponent using the new Duel Boost mechanic; mode options include Rival Duels, Free Duels, Best-of-10 Duels, and Friend Matches.

The Device System will introduce the Grand Master Device Board, providing a seventh Super Slot and enhanced effects for single-slot devices, along with 15 new devices. PvP will see adjustments to devices, car stats, vehicle types, and AI opponents, while online mode will feature reduced ring respawn cooldowns.

World Matchmaking will add unranked Free Matches. The Rival system will grant extra Donpa Tickets upon victory, and the main menu will be redesigned to accommodate the new mode. The update will also introduce play missions for earning tickets and medals through daily objectives, along with Sega music albums, collaboration decals, device collection and filtering features, adjustments to the like limit, and bug fixes.

Festival events will be extended to 10 days, with ranking mechanics shifting to win-streak rankings, alongside the addition of AI rival teams and more online Crown rewards. Bayonetta joins for free on November 3, McLaren Racing (Sonic) is scheduled for later that month, Aegis is expected in early 2027, and additional free and paid characters and vehicles will follow.
