Developed by Orca Studio and jointly published by UltraPlayers and OKJOY, the Metroidvania game "Bolt of Whalington" will release a free demo on Steam at 11:00 (Beijing Time) on November 5, 2026.
This game follows the adventures of Screw, a curious Siamese cat, as he explores the massive floating castle "Blue Whale" alongside his专属mech. The game retains core Metroidvania gameplay elements such as exploration, ability unlocks, and map backtracking. Its standout feature is the Setting Machine system— players can rewrite the laws of the world: altering their own form, modifying object properties, or even changing physical rules. Turn HP into keys, transform into a mouse to squeeze through narrow gaps, melt walls with soap, and solve puzzles or open new paths in unconventional, imaginative ways. Players can freely switch between the agile cat form and the powerful mech to explore the floating city filled with secrets and Meta easter eggs, uncovering hidden rooms and the truth of the world. The demo includes multiple areas, allowing players to get an early taste of the unique fun of rewriting world rules.
Deck-building Roguelike "Arena Bird Hassles" reveals first trailer, Steam public Playtest launches simultaneously on November 10
The new deck-building Roguelike title "Arena Bird Hassles," developed by Will Cheng and published by OKJOY, has released its first teaser trailer; the public Playtest will officially launch on Steam at 11:00 on November 10, 2026 (in-game time), lasting approximately two weeks, with the game scheduled for full release in 2027.
Featuring birds and insects as protagonists, the core concept is "cards that come alive"— your hand isn't made of static cards, but living bugs. These bugs wander, grow, and even prey on each other within your hand; weak little bugs may evolve into powerful units or be devoured and disappear, meaning every hand is in a state of dynamic change. Players choose different bird fighters, bring their bug cages into the arena, and leverage chain interactions between bugs, exclusive bird skills, and various accessories to turn chaotic swarms into powerful combos for explosive damage. Different birds have unique skills and build directions; each arena features its own rules and trials; hatching bird eggs at camp unlocks permanent progression elements. The beta version opens the Abyss Arena, features the playable character "Enaga," and offers 27 types of insects and 30 accessories for players to experience the fun of deck building.
