"Thief: The Dark Project" Releases on December 3 with a Brand New Story Campaign!

Atari and Nightdive Studios have confirmed that Thief: The Dark Project will be released on December 3. The pre-order page, pricing, and a new trailer are now available. This title is a modern remake of Looking Glass Studios' classic stealth game, Thief: The Dark Project, built using Nightdive Studios' KEX engine.

《神偷:暗黑计划》12月3日发售并加入全新剧情战役!

The remake will include the original content of Thief: The Dark Project and integrate the missions, content, and updates added in the 1999 Thief Gold edition. Additionally, the game will feature a new story campaign titled The Shattered Mirror.

The Shattered Mirror was developed with the involvement of the creators of the fan-made expansion The Black Parade. Its story bridges Thief: The Dark Project and Thief II: The Metal Age, gradually introducing new factions, environments, and Lovecraftian horror elements. Nightdive and Eidos-Montréal have incorporated this community-driven creation into the official canon.

The game supports player-created mods, including The Black Parade. The Digital Standard Edition is priced at $29.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition is $34.99; the Deluxe Edition additionally includes an art book, the official soundtrack, and excerpts from an unpublished novelization of the original work. The author believes the game is likely to run on SteamOS and Linux via Valve Proton, though actual compatibility remains to be tested after release.
