Brazilian esports organization FURIA has announced its withdrawal from the VALORANT Mixed Division competitive scene, with all its players and coaches becoming free agents starting November 2. This marks the official disbandment of the roster that claimed a championship earlier this year, and FURIA has confirmed it will not participate in related events in 2027.
FURIA stated that the decision was made after weeks of consideration and evaluation of the competitive landscape and future direction. The organization failed to secure a partnered slot for the next two years; regarding future plans for the Inclusive Division, FURIA will share more information at a later date.
The departing roster includes Arthur “artzin” Araujo, Luiz “basic” Tessaro, GianFranco “koalanoob” Potestio, and Fabian “Shyy” Usnayo. Daniel “eeiu” Vucenovic, who was moved to the substitute bench in July, was also granted permission to leave on November 2.
This lineup won the VCT 2026 Americas Kickoff Grand Finals 3-2, securing FURIA's first-ever Tier 1 VCT championship. The team then advanced directly to the playoffs at the San Diego Masters but suffered two consecutive losses, finishing in 7th-8th place.
FURIA subsequently finished 7th-8th in both Americas stages and failed to qualify for the 2026 Esports World Cup. With the entire roster of players and coaches entering the free agent market, the partnership of this early-year championship-winning lineup has come to an end.
