Minecraft Java Edition snapshot "26.4 Snapshot 7" has been released, adding a full set of calcite building blocks and the music disc "Flurry." This content represents the final round of testable gameplay features before the next major update goes live, and it is also available in the Bedrock Edition beta version.
Calcite can now be crafted into pillars, slabs, stairs, and walls. Players can arrange four pieces of calcite in a 2x2 pattern to craft Polished Calcite, which can then be arranged in the same pattern to create Polished Calcite Bricks. Both Polished Calcite and Polished Calcite Bricks have slab, stair, and wall variants, and can also be processed using a stonecutter.
The new music disc features the track "Flurry" by Hyper Potions, which players have a chance to find in chests within igloo basements. A new decorative block has also been added "somewhere" in the game, but officials have not yet revealed its specific location or appearance.
Previously released test content includes ice caves, the "Frostbite" zombie variant, throwable snowballs, icicles, ice crystals, music disc playlists, breakable ice blocks, cracks leading to ice caves, and snow-themed decorative blocks. As snapshots are still in development, officials remind players to back up their worlds or use separate folders to prevent save file corruption.
