Shura no Satsujin, a Japanese-style high-speed action hack-and-slash platformer from HeroCraft PC and DEADMAP, is now available on Steam. Players take on the role of Leon, a half-human, half-fox "Ninja Fox," as he searches for his missing sister in a fictional feudal-era Japan and embarks on a journey of revenge.
The game emphasizes quick reflexes and on-the-spot strategy. When facing large groups of enemies, players can attack bare-handed or use blades, hammers, and finishing moves tailored to specific foes, combining various methods to control the battlefield. Leon can also manipulate "Ki," utilizing four types of "Ki" abilities to perform different skills and techniques.
Influenced by Japanese culture and mythology, Shura no Satsujin features pixel art inspired by medieval Japan. Legendary creatures appear during the adventure, allowing players to choose between allying with them or engaging in direct combat, while the story is interspersed with dark humor and the protagonist's sharp dialogue.
The game includes 6 main levels, multiple side levels, and 7 bosses with distinct personalities and fighting styles. Currently, only the PC version is confirmed, priced at 1530 yen on Steam, with a 20% discount available until November 18.
