Rockstar's Current Copyright Policy May Affect the Release of GTA 6 Spoiler Videos

Rockstar's current policy on publishing copyrighted material places restrictions on spoiler content. After the release of GTA 6, videos uploading key segments such as the game's ending or major plot twists may be removed. However, this is not a new specific regulation announced by Rockstar for this title.

Restricted content includes videos that show the game's ending, compile cutscenes or story dialogue, or reveal other major plot twists. Cutscenes are generally allowed if they are part of a full playthrough or a commented gameplay video. If creators are unsure whether a scene constitutes a spoiler, they can contact Rockstar with details about the scene and its context for guidance.

The relevant support page was last updated in January 2025 and applies to all Rockstar Games titles, not just GTA 6. Therefore, creators who access the game early and upload key story segments may face copyright enforcement, but this should not be described as an official blanket ban on post-release spoiler videos for the title.

Current policy allows players to share general gameplay footage, short clips, and machinima. However, posting in-game TV programs separately, encouraging profit from cheats or exploits, promoting mods or ports, and releasing any pre-launch footage are also restricted.
