Cyberpunk 2077 Multiplayer Mod to be Released for Free on November 6

The third-party mod Open 77 will add full multiplayer support to Cyberpunk 2077 and is scheduled for a free release on November 6. Players who own the base game can download the mod to set up their own servers or join existing rooms.

Open 77 includes a built-in server browser that lets players find communities and events to join; the project website also provides instructions for installation, setting up private servers, and browsing available servers.

The mod offers more than just co-op exploration of Night City, featuring roleplay servers, racing, and world bosses that require multiplayer cooperation. The introduction references the long-standing roleplay community in Grand Theft Auto as a benchmark, envisioning players taking on roles such as police officers, fixers, or ordinary citizens in Night City, though these gameplay elements currently describe the mod's potential rather than confirmed features.

Open 77 aims to fill the multiplayer gap in Cyberpunk 2077 by letting players organize community servers, rules, and events. This project is not an official CDPR multiplayer mode; actual installation requirements, stability, and server environment depend on the project page and the official release.
