Rumor: The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel Targets 2029 for Internal Release

The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel is reportedly targeting a 2029 internal release date, but this timeframe has not been finalized. Multiple sources have provided similar ranges, and Bethesda has not yet officially announced a release date.

Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier stated that the game is still more than two years away from release. He later emphasized that this was not a personal prediction, but rather the project's target timeline based on his knowledge. Windows Central journalist Jez Corden also mentioned that he had heard of a 2029 release window.

Content creator JuiceHead also stated that the circulating date within the industry is 2029. However, he came across this information before Xbox replaced its CEO with Asha Sharma and before the subsequent large-scale layoffs and restructuring. Therefore, 2029 should currently be viewed as an internal target indicated by multiple sources.

Bethesda has not yet announced the release platforms or more specific showcase plans for the title, stating only that there is still some time before they are ready to share more content. The Elder Scrolls VI was first revealed at E3 2018; if it finally launches in 2029, it will be approximately 11 years since the initial trailer and about 18 years since the release of The Elder Scrolls V.
