"The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel" Title Points to Hammerfell's Redguard Capital

The new trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI revealed the full title: The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel. "Sentinel" is not just a reference to guardians; it is also a city on the coast of the Iliac Bay in Hammerfell, serving as the largest Redguard city and the capital of the Kingdom of Sentinel.

《上古卷轴6:哨兵》名称指向落锤省红卫首都

Sentinel has previously appeared in The Elder Scrolls Online, The Elder Scrolls: Arena, and The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. According to established series lore, the ancestors of the Redguards migrated from the destroyed continent of Yokuda to Hammerfell, where the warrior Yaghoub later founded Sentinel. Thanks to its strategic location, the city gradually gained commercial and cultural influence.

Sentinel has also been long involved in regional wars, including the Siege of Orsinium, the Battle of Bangkorai Pass, the Civil War, the Undead Siege, and the Three Banners War. Within Hammerfell, there is a longstanding political divide between the Crowns and the Forebears, with Sentinel currently described as a major center under Forebear control.

The Great War of the Fourth Era may offer another clue to understanding the new game's background. Hammerfell refused to accept the White-Gold Concordat signed between the Empire and the Aldmeri Dominion, continuing the conflict until it ended with the Second Treaty of Stros M'Kai. Based on this existing lore, the relationship between the Crowns and the Forebears after the disappearance of their common enemy could become part of the narrative, though player involvement in faction choices remains speculative.

The only confirmed detail so far is that the new trailer showcased the full title, The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel. Whether Hammerfell constitutes the entire core map of the game, or if the conflict between the two factions is part of the main storyline, has not been officially confirmed through this title reveal.
