New Mass Effect Statue to be Revealed on N7 Day as Fans Launch Rescue Campaign

Dark Horse Direct will unveil a new Mass Effect statue on November 6, part of this year's N7 Day initiatives. N7 Day is an annual celebration held by Mass Effect fans, during which BioWare has often released official announcements in the past.

Dark Horse Direct responded to players, stating that the statue had been planned before news of the studio's closure emerged. Despite subsequent changes, the team still wished to leave something for series fans to look forward to. YouTooz had also previously teased N7 Day merchandise, marking this as the second related product initiative this year.

Reports indicate that BioWare has been shut down by EA and the in-development Mass Effect: Universe has been canceled, making this the first N7 Day since the news broke. Both merchandise collaborations were finalized before the studio's closure, leading to speculation that BioWare may have prepared additional N7 Day content, though this has not been officially confirmed.

Last year's N7 Day revealed concept art for a new title and hidden clues pointing to the Krogan, while earlier teasers included a short clip seemingly showcasing a new player character. Reports also stated that a trailer for Mass Effect: Universe had been completed and leaked after news of the studio's closure broke. The game project has now been canceled, though the Amazon-produced series is still in development. Fans have launched a "Save Mass Effect" campaign, hoping for more games in the series, but it remains unclear whether EA has any such plans.
