GTA6 will launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, with a current file size of 212 GB. To mark the occasion, U.S. internet service provider Spectrum is launching the "Gig Speed Lift" temporary speed boost promotion, allowing eligible customers to enjoy higher download speeds for free from November 9 to 30.
Once the promotion begins, eligible standard customers will see their download speeds increased to 1 Gbps, while customers whose existing plans already provide 1 Gbps will receive a temporary boost to 2 Gbps. Spectrum claims that users can download GTA6 in 30 minutes with this speed, though actual download times will still depend on home networking equipment and connection conditions.
Participants must have an eligible internet plan and compatible device, and actively register through the My Spectrum app. There is no additional charge for this speed boost. Eligibility is limited to customers within the Spectrum network coverage area who meet the plan, device, and registration requirements.
The promotion covers Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, and ends on November 30. At that time, the temporary speed boost will be automatically removed from accounts; users do not need to cancel it manually.
