Raw Power Games Loses Operating Funds, Seeks Investment for Medieval Chronicles

Independent studio Raw Power Games announced that the funds needed to sustain operations are no longer available, threatening the team's survival and the development of its debut title, Medieval Chronicles. The studio stated it will not give up and is currently in talks with potential new investors.

Raw Power Games失去运营资金,为《中世纪编年史》寻求投资

Raw Power Games is composed of veteran developers who have worked on projects such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Total War: Three Kingdoms, and Crusader Kings III. Medieval Chronicles was revealed last year through a trailer narrated by Tom Hardy, and according to current information, the game is not far from its planned Early Access release.

The studio has also called on interested players to continue discussing the game and add it to their Steam wishlists. Several days after the public appeal for help, the team has not issued further statements, and the game has not entered Steam's official trending wishlist rankings. SteamDB still ranks it at number 26, unchanged from before the funding news was announced.

Medieval Chronicles gained over 1,000 Steam followers in a week, a higher increase than titles nearby on the charts. However, the original author believes that this scale is not enough to prove that player support can save a team with dozens of members.

The game plans to combine large-scale battles with RPG-style strategic content, allowing players to create characters and climb the social ladder of 14th-century England. It remains unclear whether the project will secure new funding.
