GTA IV RTX Remix Mod Receives Two Updates to Improve Graphics and Performance!

Mod author xoxor4d has released updates 1.7.1 and 1.7.2 for the Grand Theft Auto IV RTX Remix mod, focusing on improvements to visuals, performance, and stability. This update is a third-party mod upgrade and not an official visual update released by Rockstar for the base game.

The new version integrates the RTX Remix API, increasing draw distance while reducing CPU load. Water, rain, and wetness systems have been comprehensively overhauled, adding dynamic puddles and more realistic waves, along with improved reflections; precipitation that shouldn't appear under roofs and bridges is now handled more accurately.

Fog, clouds, lighting, and weather effects have been upgraded in sync, with improvements to nighttime scenes and added HDR support for the mod. The update adopts the current DLSS 5 model, bringing new neural rendering options and additional graphics presets.

The subsequently released version 1.7.2 further focuses on performance and stability optimizations, including reduced GPU load and fixes for crashes and freezes. Players can also choose to enable RTX IO support to shorten loading times, and the updated mod is now available for download from GitHub.
