Patriots Division's grid-based roguelite deckbuilder puts an office worker against the clock to save her colleagues from a curse.
Seattle, November 4 2026 – Independent studio Patriots Division has released a new trailer for Overtime! NIGHTMARE, a dark fantasy roguelite deckbuilder played on a grid. The free demo, released on November 3, is available now on Steam.
Players take on the role of Annie, an office worker racing the clock to save her colleagues from a terrible curse. Every card played sends Annie dashing across the grid and drops a unit on the tile she leaves behind. Lining up units, gold slots and multipliers builds chains that pay out big, and each room's credit goal has to be hit before the deadline runs out.
Story mode pits players against nine handcrafted bosses, each with a tragic backstory to resolve.
"We wanted every card to be a move as well as an effect," said Roy Blackstone, Creative Director at Patriots Division. "You're building a deck and planning a route across the grid at the same time, with the deadline always closing in. The demo is the first chance for players to try it, and we want to hear what they think."
