RAFTON (CEO CH Kim)'s "PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS" (hereinafter referred to as "PUBG") has launched collaboration content with the Korean girl group "IVE" in the 44.1 update.
A key feature of this collaboration is the integration of IVE's hit song "LOVE DIVE" concepts into in-game spaces and character items. Three themed "IVE Zones" have been added to the Rondo map, featuring an IVE mansion with a turntable to play IVE music. Items include characters modeled after the six members of IVE, as well as outfits, accessories, weapons, and equipment skins inspired by the song's concepts.
We have also prepared in-game activities. IVE emote stages will appear at certain spawn points on Rondo, Erangel, Miramar, Taego, Deston, and Vikendi. Using an emote will play a联动 music video for the song. Spawn points will also feature participation elements such as the "Cupid Crossbow" and "Cupid PUBG Hero." Additionally, new emotes featuring IVE songs and choreography have been added. This collaboration content went live on PC on the 4th of this month.
This update will also gradually unlock high-difficulty PvE modes. The cooperative PvE mode "Rondo Dawnbreaker," launched in October, will reopen as "HLB: Rondo Dawnbreaker." This mode takes place in the final area of the original mode, "Jadena City," with stronger Hungry Ones appearing at shorter intervals. Additionally, the number of fuel barrels required to start generators has been increased, and the health of capacitors that players need to defend has been reduced. This content will be available on PC for a limited time from the 4th to the 25th of this month.
The PvE roguelike mode "Star Scramble" will return as "Star Scramble: Hell Battle." Instead of the previous three difficulty levels, it will operate with a single "Hell" difficulty, adding a fourth stage area that is harder than the previous highest stage. The mode's difficulty will adjust based on the number of participants, supporting up to four players. After defeating the final boss, completion times will be reflected in the rankings. This content will be available on PC for a limited time from the 18th of this month to December 2nd.
Additionally, with the upcoming "PUBG Global Championship (PGC)," the highest-level international esports tournament for PUBG, improvements will be made to the lineup selection and point statistics for the "PUBG Fantasy League." Key changes include extending the lineup selection time and updating and displaying overall fantasy points and team rankings after matches. We also plan to add features for viewing friend rankings and past lineup records.
Furthermore, this update increases the durability of certain vehicles, adds the ability to view players' blue chip status, backpacks, and weapon attachment information in spectator mode, and improves voice chat quality.
