Several data miners analyzing the game's data believe that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D may use the same graphics engine as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Nintendo has not officially confirmed this engine information.
This technology, known as LunchPack or ModuleSystem, was previously used in Splatoon 3 and Nintendo Switch Sports. Data analysis also indicates that Nintendo made several modifications and improvements to the engine to accommodate this classic remake, though specific details and performance differences have not been disclosed.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is now available, with Amazon Spain restocking it at €59.90. As the series celebrates its 40th anniversary, Nintendo also plans to release two new amiibo figures in 2027.
