The 2.5D pixel action game "Replaced" is now available for pre-registration on the Google Play Store for Android. The mobile version is scheduled for release on December 8, and a promotional video has been released simultaneously. The developers stated that the total number of players across all platforms has surpassed 900,000.
Developed by Sad Cat Studios and published by Atari, "Replaced" is set in an alternate 1980s America reshaped by a nuclear apocalypse. Players take on the role of R.E.A.C.H., an artificial intelligence trapped in a human body, as they investigate the Phoenix Corporation that created them and uncover the truth hidden behind it all.
In this game world, human body parts are traded as commodities, exploring the meaning of humanity through character experiences, corporate schemes, and moral choices. The gameplay blends exploration, platforming, and combat, with the combat focusing more on impact and atmosphere rather than pure competitiveness.
The visuals feature 2.5D pixel art combined with modern depth of field, lighting, and cinematic effects, while a gloomy synthwave soundtrack creates a retro-futuristic atmosphere. Details regarding device requirements, payment methods for the Android version, and any content differences compared to other platform versions have not yet been announced.
