Earlier this month, AMD notified its partners of a unified price increase for Radeon graphics cards in August, with an expected increase of at least 10%. Although AMD had previously finalized the supply price adjustment plan for GPU + VRAM kits, it did not immediately notify partners to implement it. This was mainly due to the weak recovery stage of the consumer graphics card market demand, where end-user price sensitivity remains high, and there is still some market inventory waiting to beDIGESTED (digested). Additionally, before NVIDIA raised its graphics card prices, AMD aimed to avoid hasty price adjustments during a period of pressured demand, thereby risking a decline in product competitiveness and loss of market share.
According to reports from Bobantang, as Radeon graphics cards implement a comprehensive price increase in August, AMD has provided the MSRP and SEP guidance prices for the third quarter of 2026 for the Radeon RX 9000 series. AMD's partners will execute the new sales guidance price system in accordance with AMD's requirements.
Compared to the launch prices of the Radeon RX 9000 series, the price increases are even more significant. At that time, the MSRPs for the RX 9070 XT, RX 9070, and RX 9070 GRE were 4,999 yuan, 4,499 yuan, and 4,199 yuan respectively, while the MSRPs for the RX 9060 XT 16GB and RX 9060 XT 8GB were 2,899 yuan and 2,499 yuan respectively. Additionally, the MSRP for the RX 7650 GRE was 2,049 yuan.
As can be seen, the price increase for products with 16GB of VRAM is astonishing, with the two main models, the RX 9070 XT and RX 9060 XT 16GB, seeing hikes of 40% and 48% respectively. Products with 8GB of VRAM experienced a more moderate increase, while the price change for the RX 9070 GRE with 12GB of VRAM was relatively small.
