Following Sony Interactive Entertainment's announcement of "Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition," Sucker Punch confirmed during player interactions that the game will have a physical release. This is welcome news for players who prefer physical copies and collectors. Even as digital versions become increasingly dominant, Sony has retained a physical distribution channel for this title.
"Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition" includes two major new core features: the story expansion "Strings of Sekigahara" and the combat survival mode "Endless Pursuit."
"Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition" will be released on October 1, 2026, for the PS5 platform, priced at $69.99 USD / HK$568. Players who already own the original version can purchase the upgrade pack for $14.99 USD / HK$108.
Additionally, all "Ghost of Yōtei" players will receive the free 2.0 update on October 1, even without purchasing the upgrade pack. The update adds new highlights such as the "Beauty of Mount Yōtei" screensaver-style viewing mode, a transmog feature (allowing you to keep the appearance while using armor with different stats), and new stickers for the photo mode.
