Recently, concept art revealing the new region's Professor and Champion made their first appearance, sparking heated discussion among fans.
According to information released by the well-known Pokémon leak aggregator account Centro Leaks, the concept art from this leak originates from a prequel anime to Pokémon: Wind/Wave. The image features three characters: the blue-haired young man on the left is believed to be the new region's Pokémon Professor, while the character in the center wearing a Hawaiian-style shirt is the region's Champion—the strongest opponent players will face in the game.
Interestingly, the anime depicts younger versions of these two characters. It is said that the Professor underwent time travel at some point (the specific reason remains unclear), which is why he appears as an older figure in the game. The Champion will also appear in a more mature form in the game, but the extent of his aging and specific design changes are currently unknown. The identity of the little girl on the right holding a Chansey plushie has not been confirmed, though some speculate she may be related to the storyline involving the game's cover Legendary Pokémon.
This as-yet-unnamed prequel anime will revolve around the mythological background of the new region in Pokémon: Wind/Wave, particularly focusing on stories related to Legendary Pokémon.
