On August 25, Apple announced the release of a new Mac mini, its ultra-compact desktop PC brand designed for power users, after a two-year hiatus. Featuring the latest hardware specifications, it offers significantly improved AI computing power and gaming performance, with an official launch scheduled for September 22.
The new Mac mini will be equipped with either the latest M6 or M5 Pro processor. The M6 version is priced at 149,800 yen in Japan, while the M5 Pro version costs 299,800 yen.
Compared to the previous M4 generation, the new M6 model features a 12-core CPU and a 12-core GPU, delivering substantial improvements in both AI computing power and gaming performance. Additionally, the standard memory has been upgraded from 16GB to 32GB, ensuring smooth performance for most AAA titles.
The higher-end M5 Pro model features an 18-core CPU and a 20-core GPU, supporting up to 64GB of memory expansion, making it ideal for users seeking extreme performance and a premium desktop experience.
