According to foreign media reports, the U.S. Army revealed on social media that a battalion in Georgia will offer a four-day leave to all soldiers who renew their service contracts, allowing them to play GTA 6 during its November launch.
The 9th Engineer Battalion stationed at Fort Stewart announced that any soldier who signs a reenlistment contract between August 1 and November 14 will be eligible for this benefit.
The specific dates for the four-day leave will be determined by unit command. However, the reenlistment incentive explicitly requires that the leave align with the release window of GTA 6, which is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026.
According to the flyer, this benefit aims to boost troop morale and reward their long-term commitment and dedication to the military by allowing them to experience one of the most anticipated entertainment releases of the century firsthand.
In recent months, Rockstar Games has faced criticism for the lack of hype and marketing surrounding GTA 6.
