Koei Tecmo's Gust studio officially announced today the release date and a new promotional trailer for Atelier Yumia 2: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land. The Simplified Chinese version will be released on February 25, 2027, on PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).

As the direct sequel to Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land, the story is set two years after the events of the previous game. The continent of Aradis faces the crisis of "Mana Depletion," with the earth's spiritual energy gradually fading. The amnesiac adventurer girl, Yumia, encounters "alchemy" guided by fate, embarking on a new adventure. The developers stated that the story is standalone, allowing new players to jump right in.
This game will feature "Colossal Enemies," requiring coordinated combat between the Vanguard Unit and the Guerrilla Unit. The Vanguard Unit confronts the giant beast head-on, while the Guerrilla Unit provides support using mechanisms such as cannons on the map. Once both sides complete their respective objectives, they can reduce the enemy's Morale Gauge to zero to achieve victory.
The protagonist, Yumia, who possesses the ability to "Devour," can awaken style switching as she grows, changing her appearance and combat style by switching between more than 8 styles. The two styles revealed so far include:
Flame Style:Focuses on close-range fire-attribute attacks; all skills become fire-attribute and attack power increases, resulting in extremely high damage output but low defense, making it vulnerable to ice-attribute attacks;
Mermaid Style:Uses ice-attribute magic to suppress enemies from a distance, with low physical attack power and vulnerability to fire-attribute attacks.
Players need to flexibly switch styles according to the battle situation to defeat powerful enemies with diverse actions.
During field exploration, players can gather materials, destroy obstacles, or attack enemies by throwing items from a distance. Even at the same gathering point, using different items can yield different materials.
The synthesis system in this game has also been completely revamped: players first select a recipe and "Core Material," then connect the "Star Petals" possessed by materials on the recipe map to satisfy the attributes and shapes specified by the Core Material, thereby granting various effects to the item. Even if the materials are the same, the Star Petal shapes differ, requiring repeated attempts to synthesize the ideal item.
Atelier Yumia 2 will be officially released on February 25, 2027.
