Major Breakthrough in PS5 Jailbreak Scene Promises to Resolve Game Stuttering and Slow Performance

Reportedly, a major breakthrough occurred in the PS5 jailbreak scene yesterday: Russian developer Roman Drakmore announced the completion of his research and released a self-developed tool capable of creating complete FPKG game images for jailbroken PS5 consoles, supporting firmware up to version 11.40.

PS5破解圈迎重大突破 有望解决游戏卡顿和运行缓慢问题

A notable feature of FPKG is that game images can now be fully decrypted via the A53 chip, eliminating stuttering in demanding titles and allowing compression to sizes comparable to legitimate copies. Previously, pirates were limited to folder-based, exFAT, and ffpfsc formats. However, folder and exFAT formats do not support compression; for instance, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 exceeded 250GB. Meanwhile, ffpfsc compression often caused slowdowns and stuttering in many large-scale projects.

Developers still need to resolve a series of issues to achieve full FPKG functionality, but it is now only a matter of time.
