SNK Corporation announces that the Nintendo Switch™ 2 version of the versus fighting game FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves will be released on October 22, 2026 (Thursday).
Two versions will be released for the Nintendo Switch™ 2 version
In the Nintendo Switch™ 2 version, you can easily enjoy the authentic fighting action of FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves anytime, anywhere. Two versions are available: the "Standard Edition" for 2,970 JPY (tax included), which includes the base game, and the "Starter Edition" for 3,960 JPY (tax included), which includes the base game plus additional content from Season Passes 1–3. You can choose according to your play style and preferences.
Currently, pre-orders for the digital version are being accepted on the Nintendo eShop. In addition to the digital version, a physical "Standard Edition" will also be available (scheduled for release on January 21, 2027, with pre-orders starting sequentially).
Additionally, as an exclusive pre-order bonus for the Nintendo Switch™ 2 version, a special costume for the highly popular series character "Mai Shiranui" will be included.

The Nintendo Switch™ 2 version supports Handheld mode, Tabletop mode, and TV mode, allowing you to enjoy the battles of FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves wherever you are. While fighting games were traditionally considered console experiences, the Nintendo Switch™ 2 version lets you fully experience the unique fast-paced offense and defense and strategic duels of this title. You can savor it at home or easily play while out and about, making the most of the Nintendo Switch™ 2's unique play styles to fully enjoy the game's appeal.
Additionally, it features a "Simple Mode" that allows players to execute special moves and combos with a single button, enabling even fighting game beginners to enjoy exhilarating battles through intuitive controls. On the other hand, since traditional technical input methods are also supported, both series fans and first-time players can enjoy the game in their own preferred style.

FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves is the latest fighting game that combines easy-to-enjoy, exhilarating controls with strategic depth that expands as you play. It inherits the series' unique charm while featuring distinctive art styles, a new battle system called "REV," a single-player RPG mode called "EOST," and many other accessible elements suitable for newcomers.
Furthermore, we have thoroughly pursued a control style suitable for beginners, as well as comfortable online battles through cross-platform play and rollback netcode.
In Season 3, in addition to new characters, we plan to continuously release new stages and various in-game content on a monthly basis. Regular content updates after release will also help activate the player community and enhance the long-term value of the game brand.
