The PC-based PS5 emulator KytyPS5 recently released version 0.3.0, increasing the emulation frame rate for Demon's Souls Remake from 1 FPS to 2 FPS. Although the number has doubled, the game is still far from being playable under normal conditions.
The relevant tests were conducted using an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor. Even with this high-end CPU, Demon's Souls Remake only runs at approximately 2 FPS, meaning the current state of emulation is not suitable for average players to experience.
KytyPS5 received consecutive updates over the past few days, with these performance changes occurring within a roughly two-day development cycle. The emulator can now launch and run Demon's Souls Remake, but there is still a significant gap before it achieves stable and smooth performance.
Another PS5 game tested was Stray. On a device equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS processor, the game's opening area ran at around 8 FPS, but the program crashed after a few seconds, making it unplayable for now as well.
