AUGUST has announced that the Uta Macross Revival Project has reached its 30 million yen crowdfunding goal. As of September 11, total funds raised have exceeded 70 million yen, and the official team has revealed three stretch goals with a maximum target of 100 million yen.
This crowdfunding campaign launched on September 10, 2026, at 20:00 and will run until October 31 at 23:59. The project aims to remake the mobile rhythm game Uta Macross: Culture via Mobile, which ceased operations in 2022, into a one-time purchase title. The initial release will support iOS, Android, and PC (Steam) platforms.
The newly announced stretch goals are divided into three tiers: Upon reaching 75 million yen in funding, the team will begin development of a home console version, scheduled for release after the mobile and PC versions; upon reaching 90 million yen, additional tracks will be added to the private 3D digital concert "UTA MACROSS SUPER DIMENSION 3D miniLIVE."
If the crowdfunding amount reaches 100 million yen, new songs not included in the original live-service version will be added to the game. These tracks are planned to be released as paid DLC after the base game launches.
The development team is restructuring the game system for an offline, buy-to-play version, adjusting the interface and gameplay for keyboard and mouse controls. Content such as performances and illustrations from the original live-service version will be retained. The game features songstresses and pilots from series titles including Macross, Macross Plus, Macross 7, Macross Frontier, and Macross Delta.
The base version is expected to include approximately 50 songs, over 1,000 four-star and higher cards, and more than 20 outfits for each songstress. Remaining songs from the original live-service version, along with select cards and outfits, are planned to be added through multiple DLC packs released simultaneously.
