Details regarding the review embargo lift for Remedy Entertainment's new action RPG, Control: Resonance, have now been revealed.
Fans of Remedy will soon be able to see reviews for the new title from major media outlets. Control: Resonance is the direct sequel to 2019's Control. In this game, players take control of Dylan Faden, a "Paranatural" with supernatural powers who appeared as a supporting character in the original. Dylan will battle against invasions by dangerous entities while searching for his estranged sister, Jesse Faden.
According to Metacritic, the review embargo for Control: Resonance is expected to be lifted "this weekend," approximately five days before the game's official release date of September 24, 2026.
Additionally, the pre-load schedule for the PS5 version of Control: Resonance has been announced: pre-loading for the Deluxe Edition will begin on September 20, 2026, while the Standard Edition pre-load starts on September 22. The download size is 89.273GB. The pre-loaded version will be the latest build 01.200.000, which all pre-order customers will install in advance, though official update patches may still be pushed closer to launch.
