World of Warcraft: Infinite was available for on-site trials at BlizzCon 2026. The trial version preserves the main framework of World of Warcraft Classic while introducing new races, new zones, a Legacy system, and various quality-of-life features, aiming to modernize the game without altering its core experience.
The trial focuses on the new neutral race, Skyborne, which can join either the Alliance or the Horde, with their starting zone being one of six new areas in the game. Skyborne possess a unique ability that allows characters to summon a magical cloud-like effect while airborne, enabling them to glide dozens of meters forward.
About eighty percent of the trial content retains the Classic design, with no significant changes to basic mechanics and core gameplay. Quest tracking will be available from the start of the game, allowing players to view quest objectives on the map without needing to install the Questie addon. The interface has been redesigned for a cleaner and clearer overall layout.
Visual adjustments are relatively restrained, featuring high-definition character models and updated visual effects. The trial experience suggests that these changes are primarily intended to improve upon the older graphics without significantly altering the original cartoonish art style of World of Warcraft Classic.
The new Legacy system is account-bound. Players can earn points by completing classic achievements and invest them into three brand-new passive talent trees. Some bonuses increase the chance of obtaining multiple resources while gathering, while others improve the adventuring experience through subtle adjustments; every character on the account contributes to Legacy progress.
Future content includes expanded classic zones, new dungeons, 10- and 20-player raids, and approximately 1,000 quests. Professions and talents will also receive new additions, though not all of these features were available in the on-site trial version. The official plan is to roll out updates in batches, with major patches every four months.
World of Warcraft: Infinite is scheduled for release on November 5. Skyborne and its new starting zone require an additional payment of €29.99 to unlock, marking one of the more significant differences from the base classic experience in the trial version.
