In a recent interview with foreign media outlet VGC, Hideki Kamiya, head of Clover Studio (CLOVERS), revealed that the studio now has over 70 employees, marking a significant expansion in team size compared to its early days.
Discussing the partnership with Capcom, the publisher of the new Okami title, Hideki Kamiya stated that both sides are maintaining a very positive collaborative relationship and share a high degree of alignment in their game development philosophies.
He emphasized that, thanks to the mutual trust established between both parties, Capcom granted significant development autonomy, allowing the team to focus on creating the game itself.
The new Okami title was officially unveiled at The Game Awards 2024, with Hideki Kamiya serving as the project's lead designer. The game is currently in development, and no specific release date has been announced yet.
