The unannounced "1st Anniversary Edition" of Sonic Racing: Crossworlds has appeared on the Amazon UK website. The product listing indicates that this physical edition will bundle the base game with the six DLC packs released during the first year, though Sega has not yet officially confirmed this information.
According to the page listing, the six DLC packs will add a total of 18 drivers, including Steve, Alex, and Creeper from Minecraft, SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star, Pac-Man and the four ghosts, Mega Man and Proto Man, as well as the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. An Avatar: The Last Airbender-themed content pack is expected to launch in October.
In addition to new drivers, the 1st Anniversary Edition will include six new tracks. Each DLC pack also features themed events, vehicle bodies, decals, music, and sound effects.
During the game's first year, 12 free updates were released, adding characters such as Joker from Persona 5, Ichiban Kasuga from Like a Dragon, Hatsune Miku, and AiAi from Super Monkey Ball. Including these free additions, the driver roster for the first year will reach 59 characters.
The Amazon UK page lists the price at £54.99, with the European price expected to be €59.99. For comparison, the base game costs €69.99, and the Season Pass is sold separately for €29.99; if the page information is accurate, the 1st Anniversary Edition would save nearly €40 compared to purchasing both items individually.
