Maggie Robertson, the actress who portrayed Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village, stated that she would definitely accept the role again if invited by Capcom. Referring to Lady Dimitrescu as her "first child," she made her willingness to return very clear.
While promoting her new game Warlock at Gamescom, Robertson reflected on her experiences over the past five years. She said that Resident Evil Village and Lady Dimitrescu changed her life in every way, marking her first involvement in a video game.
Robertson stated that after completing her graduate studies in theater, she moved to Los Angeles in January 2019. Without an agent at the time, she mainly submitted audition applications on her own. Originally hoping to work in on-camera acting, she decided to try something new by attending an audition, which ultimately landed her the role of Lady Dimitrescu.
Since game projects are typically bound by non-disclosure agreements, character names and lines in audition materials are disguised. At the time, Robertson did not know which game she was auditioning for, nor did she anticipate the impact this role would later have.
Lady Dimitrescu garnered widespread attention even before the release of Resident Evil Village, subsequently becoming one of the key figures in the game's marketing campaign. Since then, Robertson has also participated in titles such as Baldur's Gate 3 and Fortnite, continuing to secure new opportunities for performance in games.
Capcom has not yet confirmed whether Lady Dimitrescu will appear in other games, animations, or live-action projects within the Resident Evil series. Robertson, however, stated that she would agree to return if Capcom contacts her.
Robertson is currently playing Tasha in Warlock. She describes the character as neither good nor evil, but rather charming and cunning, deciding whether to help the player based on her own interests while serving as a patron to the player character.
