On September 16, players discovered that titles such as Helldivers 2 and Horizon Forbidden West had disappeared from the UK Steam store. This change affects purchasing only; users who already own these games in their Steam libraries can continue to play them without interruption.

A spokesperson for Sony Interactive Entertainment stated that the company is aware of availability issues affecting certain titles on the UK Steam store and is working with Valve to resolve them, apologizing for any inconvenience caused. The statement did not specify the cause of the problem or provide a definite timeframe for restoring sales.

The original Helldivers was recently added to the PlayStation Plus game catalog, allowing subscribers to play it directly on PS5 at no additional cost.

Helldivers 2 launched on PS5 and PC in 2024, followed by an Xbox Series X|S release this summer. The game sold 12 million copies across PC and PS5 within its first 12 weeks, becoming the fastest-selling launch title in PlayStation's history.

At present, there is no confirmed timeline for when the affected games will return to the UK Steam store. Sony and Valve are continuing to address the issue, and the removal does not impact access for players who already own the games.
