Rockstar has reportedly sent letters to the cast of Grand Theft Auto VI, reminding them to adhere to their existing non-disclosure agreements and not to reveal their involvement before November 19. This news comes from a source on the GTA VI O'Clock podcast and has not yet been officially confirmed.
According to reports, the recipients of this letter include not only the lead actors but also anyone playing a role in the project. If true, this means there may be no trailer introducing the actors behind Jason and Lucia before release, nor any magazine interviews detailing how the actors landed their roles.
The letter was reportedly sent after Stephen Root was the first to confirm his involvement. In a previous interview with the Associated Press, Root stated that he plays a character named Brian Hed. He also explained that too many people recognized him from King of the Hill and by his voice, which led to the secret being exposed.
Rockstar has not officially confirmed any cast members for Grand Theft Auto VI. The information players currently have about the cast mostly comes from resumes, voice comparisons, and actors accidentally letting slip details.
Manny L. Perez and Dylan Rourke are still considered the most likely candidates for Lucia and Jason, but neither has been confirmed to be part of the cast. Perez had previously denied his involvement in the game.
