The aviation comedy co-op game Dear Passengers has risen to third place on the Steam wishlist rankings, trailing only Valve's PvP shooter Deadlock and Hello Games' survival game Light No Fire. Its developer, Flexus, had not previously released any games on Steam.
Currently, Dear Passengers ranks higher than titles such as Fable, Phantom Blade Zero, Resident Evil: Code Veronica, and Witchbrook. On July 31, Flexus confirmed that the game had reached 2 million wishlists, having just entered the top five at that time.
The game's ranking continued to climb afterward, reaching fourth place on August 7. On September 5, Flexus announced that Dear Passengers had become the third most-wished-for game on Steam.
Dear Passengers focuses on online co-op with friends. Players need to form a crew and run an airline plagued by constant issues: planes keep breaking down, cargo isn't always legal, and passenger safety rarely makes it to the top of the to-do list. The game centers on chaotic flight incidents and multiplayer cooperation.
Although this is Flexus's first entry into the Steam market, the studio is not new to game development. Founded in 2020 with a team of over 70 people, Flexus previously focused mainly on mobile platforms. The studio states that its games have accumulated over 300 million downloads across more than 150 countries and regions.
Among similar co-op games, Dear Passengers has significantly higher pre-launch attention. Currently, the closest comparable co-op game on the Steam wishlist rankings sits at number 20, while Dear Passengers holds firmly at third place.
