Koei Tecmo will release the demo for "Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Remaster" on September 24, allowing players to experience this remake focused on "one warrior against a thousand" combat before its official launch. The game will arrive on PS5, PC, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 1.
Developed by Omega Force, this title is based on "Dynasty Warriors 3," released in 2001. The original leveraged the PS2's performance to increase the scale of on-screen battles, introduced two-player co-op, and improved upon the visual presentation of "Dynasty Warriors 2."
"Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Remaster" also integrates the base game with the 2003 expansion "Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends." The remaster is built on a new engine, adds HDR and ultrawide monitor support, and expands gameplay modes and combat mechanics.
The combat system introduces new actions such as calling horses, dodging, and counterattacks. The game will also include new side stories and various challenge modes. All 40 officers from the original title will return, allowing players to battle with the full roster.
The Digital Deluxe Edition will additionally provide retro costumes, ability-enhancing scrolls, and weapon crafting materials. The game was originally scheduled for release in March 2026 but has been delayed to October 1.
Online multiplayer will not be available at launch, with the feature planned to be added via an update in January 2027. The demo launching on September 24 will give players a chance to experience the remastered visuals and new combat mechanics before the official release.
