Kotone Shiomi, the female protagonist from Persona 3 Portable, will join Persona: Phantom X on September 24. This appearance features full voice acting, new storylines, and high-definition 3D models, with the game having already revealed her combat role and skill details.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Persona series, synchronized updates for all game versions will be released on the same day, adding Kotone Shiomi. Her limited-time banner will run until November 12 at 01:59 (UTC). Once players obtain this character, they can permanently add her to the protagonist's party.
In the new side story, after passing through a mysterious door in Kirihane Shopping Mall, the protagonist Wonder temporarily loses memories related to Tartarus and receives assistance from Kotone Shiomi. Kotone Shiomi and Makoto Yuki can join the same party simultaneously.
Kotone Shiomi is classified as a Fire-attribute Strategist, primarily focused on enhancing the team. She can increase allies' Attack, Penetration Rate, and Final Damage. Her support skill, "All or Nothing," puts her into a "Lucky" state, extends the duration of "Strong Bonds," and allows her to immediately trigger another ally's Highlight Skill even if their Highlight Gauge isn't fully charged.
She also possesses a special passive ability that works even when she is not on the field: for each Strategist in the party, the entire team gains a 1% increase in Final Damage. This effect remains active even if Kotone Shiomi is not included in the current battle lineup.
Kotone Shiomi first appeared as an optional protagonist in Persona 3 Portable, released in 2009. She was not present in the original Persona 3 and was also absent from the remake, Persona 3 Reload. Now, she will make her return through the anniversary content of Persona: Phantom X.
