Kim Hyung-tae, Director of Stellar Blade and CEO of Shift Up, expressed his desire to participate in the development of a new Bayonetta title. Atsushi Inaba, President of PlatinumGames, responded positively, suggesting that both parties could consider co-planning projects, although no new game or collaboration has been officially announced yet.

The two first met in person during the 2026 Tokyo Game Show, with their conversation shifting from Stellar Blade's crossover costumes to future collaborations. Kim Hyung-tae stated that Bayonetta is one of his top three favorite games, and without it, he wouldn't have been able to create Eve, the protagonist of Stellar Blade.

Discussing the future of the Bayonetta series, Kim Hyung-tae hoped that the series would continue up to Bayonetta 10. He proactively expressed his willingness to participate in new projects, joking that as long as PlatinumGames prepared a desk for him, he would come to work every day.

Atsushi Inaba believes that Kim Hyung-tae's involvement could yield valuable results, suggesting that both parties might co-design projects for deeper cross-industry collaboration. When asked if existing crossovers could lead to further cooperation, both expressed that such possibilities exist in the future.

Atsushi Inaba also commented on the Bayonetta crossover costume designed by Kim Hyung-tae for Stellar Blade. He felt that the outfit retained the characteristics of Bayonetta while staying true to Stellar Blade's own style; although initially concerned, he was satisfied with the final result of the collaboration.

Currently, Shift Up is focusing on developing Stellar Blade 2, while PlatinumGames has not yet announced the next numbered entry in the Bayonetta series. This conversation only expressed a willingness to collaborate, and whether it will develop into an official project remains to be seen.
