Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is reportedly set to be the final season of the Disney+ series. Filming for Season 3 has already wrapped, and Marvel has not yet publicly commented on the news.
There had been earlier reports that Marvel Studios was scaling back its planned live-action series output. Since Marvel had not announced new arrangements for its MCU television projects, outsiders once viewed Daredevil: Born Again as a potential exception that might continue, hoping that Charlie Cox's Daredevil would remain in Hell's Kitchen.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 will be among the last batch of episodes. Showrunner Dario Scardapane has also not been renewed by Marvel and will not be involved in the production of the final season. He took over the series after significant creative adjustments were made during the first season.
Season 3 will continue two main storylines: Matt Murdock's true identity has been revealed to the public, and he is currently imprisoned. Characters such as Luke Cage, Danny Rand, and Elektra will also return, portrayed once again by Mike Colter, Finn Jones, and Elodie Yung, respectively.
The production of Daredevil: Born Again underwent significant changes. Charlie Cox previously stated that the initial plan for the series did not work out; now, with the showrunner's departure, Season 3 will be completed without Scardapane's involvement.
These reports are still awaiting official confirmation from Marvel. Season 3 is expected to potentially premiere in spring 2027, though the specific release date has not yet been announced.
